Who is Raymond S Brown?
I am the oldest of two boys and grew up in a small town in Southeast Nebraska in a "working class" family with a strong Christian upbringing. While attending public school, I was a quiet, serious, and an above average student. I tried to do my best to get along with everyone, but was competitive enough to be motivated to succeed.
As a teenager, I became involved in Boy Scouts, embracing the Program and earning my Eagle Scout and the God and Country Awards. I really feel being in Boy Scouts and believing in the motto to “always be prepared” and “help other people at all times” had a huge impact on my mindset and how I would go on to live my life.
I am happily married and madly in love with my wife, Bonnie. She's taught me so much about the real meaning of life and prioritizing what's really important...Family. She is the anchor in my life with her constant encouragement and support.
Our Daughter, Corie and her husband Bryan have blessed us with four wonderfully crazy grandsons who are so special that have created so much more meaning and happiness in life for me. I only wish they lived closer to us so we had more time to nurture them, enjoy them, and be more of a daily influence in their lives.
Books I Recommend:
Zen in the Martial Arts Joe Hyams
How to Persuade People Who Don't Want to be Persuaded Joel Bauer
The Art of Happiness The Dali Lama
Golf in the Kingdom Michael Murphy
Aspire...Discovering Your Purpose Through the Power of Words Kevin Hall
